We are looking for Engineering Interns who share our passion for delivering innovative technology to disrupt the industry.

Caeli Nova was established in 2018 to develop products that use our patented breathing technology to overcome limitations and solve real problems across a range of sectors. Our first product, Cordillera, will utilise this core technology to deliver a long-awaited update to the passenger emergency oxygen system, allowing airlines to operate the most direct routes, reducing fuel and emissions and lowering costs.

We are looking for Engineering Interns who share our passion for delivering innovative technology to disrupt the industry. The successful applicant will work closely with our design and R&D team to support the design and development of our first product Cordillera and also be involved in other future products across a number of industries.

The successful candidate will be joining a technical team formed by graduates from top UK universities and former Boeing, Bombardier, Marshall Aerospace, Rolls-Royce and Honeywell Aerospace employees, with the opportunity to shape future aerospace products. The team they join will be decided at the end of the interview process based on what they are passionate about and the projects we are currently working on. They will support either:

  • the Design Organisation in transforming R&D concepts into aerospace design solutions and then into certified, airworthy products, or
  • the R&D team, taking an element of one of our research and development projects and evolving it in your own vision.

At Caeli Nova we strongly believe that everyone in the organisation is a leader in their own right. This means you will be accountable for defining your project requirements, planning the activities and then delivering on your commitment to the team, with the rest of the organisation supporting you along the way. The successful candidate will have a flexible and creative approach to system design, which will allow them to influence innovation within the company. We are looking for an independent, self-motivating team player, that is excited about working in a fast-paced environment, with the following experience and capabilities:

  • On target for at least a 2:1 degree  in any of the following disciplines:
    • Aerospace Engineering
    • Biomedical Engineering
    • Chemical Engineering
    • Electrical and Electronic Engineering
    • Materials Science and Engineering
    • Mechanical Engineering
    • Computing candidates may also be considered
  • A demonstrated interest in supporting a team to quickly develop new ideas for solving complex technical problems
  • Willingness to get stuck into a variety different technical challenges, whenever needed
  • Ability to communicate clearly and confidently at all levels, both internally and externally
  • Experience in agile product development and/or rapid prototyping (useful, but not essential)
  • Some experience or interest in aerospace or medical industries would also be beneficial

This is a unique opportunity to be involved at a pivotal point in an exciting venture that will provide a huge variety of growth and learning opportunities to the individual in the role.
